I will assume that you have his marriage certificate to Rose...

From this you should have his father's name (though not necessarily) and be able to spot him on a census with his family.

You should therefore know where he said he was born.

If you go to the FReeBMD site freebmd.rootsweb.com you can search for a possible birth and using the reference you find there order a birth certificate for him from http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ costing 9.25bp. You can also specify that you only want the certificate if the father's name is xyz.

If you are not sure which registration district might cover where he was born see: http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/.

Apart from finding a baptism for him (if the minister has noted his birthdate) then the birth certificate is the only place you will find his birthdate. Unless he died late in the 20th century it may be on his death certificate (but may be a shot in the dark as to year by a family member!)

I am looking for the brother of William Plummer. William was born C1818 in Creed Cornwall. He married Mary Arthur @ St Stephen in Brannell Cornwall in 1839. In 1849 they arrived in NSW as assisted passengers with their sons Thomas, William and Isaac. They arrived in February 1849.

Shipping records show William had a brother in the colony, but give no other information as to his name or whereabouts. I would assume he arrived before 1849.

Their parents were John and Mary (nee Nicholls???), from Cornwall (I think. I do not have dates for them.

ANyone with any connection to the above names please contact.

William and Mary had a 4th son George Alfred. HE was born in ARthursleigh, NSW circa 1849/50.

Charles Haley PLUMMER and his wife Blanche MANE of Trinidad, WI, 19-20C

I am searching for Charles H. Plummer who went from England (or possibly Spain) with his wife, settling in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He had 2 sons, Charles Arthur and Valentine, as well as two daughters, Bianca and Grace. Charles Arthur left the island and never returned, ending up in Brooklyn, NY. Bianca and Grace settled in California I believe, still connecting the dots. It's possible that Valentine never left the island and died at his older brother's hand. That is why he fled, and that is what I'm searching for. Charles Arthur was born in 1898, but I do not know when his parents were born or when or where they died. The family owned property and were perhaps well to do, perhaps government officials - not sure. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Charles Arthur is my great grandfather.

I'm not 100% sure. I have his son, Charles Arthur's wedding license from the state of New York and it lists his father as "Charles Haley, Trinidad B.W.I., wife Blanche Mane, Trinidad, B.W.I." So frustrating!
